Located at Dabble creative space in Seattle! Located in the heart of the Greenwood neighborhood.
I am an illustrator, artist, designer and educator who loves to inspire others to be creative. All adults are welcome, no matter their previous drawing or painting experience. Adult classes, tweens and teens by request.
I'm excited to share my love of hand lettering, layout, type and color! The goal is to choose a word, poem, quote, part of a song... any text that has meaning to you and use paint, colored pencils, marker to illustrate them. You can create a piece of art, protest sign, gift or image to use anywhere.
10 AM - Noon: Choose your text, explore materials and media, play and be creative, start planning your text layout. Sketch, draw and experiment. Examples for lettering provided.
12:00 - 12:30 (Break for Lunch)
12:30 - 4:00: Sketch, draw and experiment. Examples for lettering provided. Draw outline for your final art.
Transfer your sketch and focus on creating your artwork.
I will help you discover your own unique style, and teach you about letterform, color and layout strategies.
Cost: $150
Bring any art supplies you have, also Dabble has paints, markers and pens. I will help you find the best paper for your lettering creation. I'll give you a recommendation for paper and any other supplies you might need to purchase.
