Join my workshop to learn watercolor painting as a practice to create, relax and be creative. Located at Dabble Seattle! A creative space in the heart of Greenwood.
I am an illustrator, artist, designer and educator who loves to inspire others to be creative. All adults are welcome, no matter their previous drawing or painting experience.
You will have a final painting after each class! I will teach you about color, technique, tools, process, rendering styles, lighting and composition to develop your confidence in watercolor painting.
Class 1: Paint a color wheel using the three modern primary colors. You will have time to practice drawing and apply your color mixing skills. I will demonstrate how to work with watercolor paint to develop your palette.
Class 2: Practice techniques, wet in wet and glazing. Play and experiment to get comfortable with watercolor effects. I will demonstrate the painting process and give one on one help. You will choose from an array of in season plants to paint.
Class 3: Learn about lighting and form, use layering techniques and neutrals to create highlight, mid tone and shadow to create three dimensional paintings.
Class 4: Composition and background color, use your new skills to create a cohesive painting.
Cost: $200 for four, 2 hr. classes
I will provide professional level paint, paper and a simple palette. Minimal supply investment of around $20 for brush and an option to purchase a travel palette to hold your paint.
Use the form below to ask questions, register and I will send billing options.
Thank you!
