Join my workshop to learn watercolor painting as a practice to create, relax and be creative. Located at Dabble Seattle! A creative space in the heart of Greenwood.
I am an illustrator, artist, designer and educator who loves to inspire others to be creative. All adults are welcome, no matter their previous drawing or painting experience.
You will have a final painting after each class! I will teach you about color, technique, tools, process, rendering styles as you develop your confidence in watercolor painting. You will learn how to frame your work and other options to display and share your work.
Class 1: Paint a color wheel using the three modern primary colors, learn about composition and color. Option to draw or work from a drawing on professional grade watercolor paper. I will demonstrate how to work with watercolor paint to develop your palette.
Class 2: Practice techniques, wet in wet and glazing. Refine your sketch. I will demonstrate the painting process and give one on one help.
Class 3: Learn about lighting and form, use layering techniques and neutrals to create highlight, mid tone and shadow to create three dimensional paintings.
Class 4: Composition and background color, use your new skills to create a cohesive painting.
Cost: $200 for 4 classes
I will provide palette, paint and paper to get us started. Minimal supply investment of less than $25 for brush and additional paint as needed.
