Once you have explored beginning watercolor bests practices you are ready for this all day immersive class. In the morning we will paint the "micro" - plants, rocks, minerals and animals in detail and ways to layer on information and organize a journal. In the afternoon we will paint the "macro" - landscapes, maps, cloud formations. I will demonstrate and there will be plenty of time for one on one work.
10 AM - 12 PM: Bring your coffee! I'll have boxes of plants to choose from. Ferns, leaves, rocks, shells, photos of birds, feathers etc. I'll give an overview. Morning is Micro Focus.
30 Minute Break
12:30- 4 PM: Adding handwritten notes and observations to your journal. Various journal options including how to make your own. Macro focus on landscape painting and or Maps.
I provide paper, plants, masking fluid, some specialized paint for granulation and tools for mapping and landscape painting, please bring a brush, palette and watercolor paints (I will provide a list of recommended paints if you do not have any).
